1
Evaluation & Assessment
Your healing journey begins with a thorough, comprehensive evaluation conducted by a certified wound care specialist in your home. This assessment forms the foundation of your personalized care plan and ensures we have a complete understanding of your wound and overall health status.
2
Diagnostic Lab Testing & Personalized Care Plan
After your assessment, we develop a comprehensive, individualized care plan designed specifically for your wound type, health status, and healing goals. When clinically indicated, diagnostic tests are ordered to guide treatment decisions.
Our care plan is customized to target infection and promote healing, and we’ll review it with you in detail to ensure you understand every aspect of your treatment approach. We believe informed patients are active partners in their own healing.
Diagnostic Testing: After your assessment, diagnostic tests may be ordered as needed using only trusted labs for accurate and timely results. Test results are reviewed with you and incorporated into your care plan refinement.
FDA-Regulated Skin Substitutes: You may receive treatment using FDA-regulated skin substitutes designed to accelerate wound healing for better outcomes. These advanced biological materials are selected based on your specific wound characteristics and healing needs.

Patient Process FAQ
Your first visit will last approximately 60-90 minutes. Our specialist will conduct a full wound and health assessment, review your medical history, and explain the proposed treatment plan in detail. You’ll have ample time to ask questions and express your care preferences.
Visit frequency depends on your wound type and severity. Initial treatment often involves 1-3 visits per week. As your wound improves, visits may be reduced. Your care plan will specify the recommended schedule, which is adjusted at each visit based on healing progress.
Skin substitutes are FDA-regulated biological or bioengineered materials used to promote wound healing when the body’s natural processes are insufficient. They are clinically proven, safe, and widely used in wound care medicine. Your specialist will explain the specific product being used and answer all your questions.
Have your current medications list available, ensure the area near your wound is accessible and well-lit, and prepare a list of any concerns or questions. Our specialist will bring all necessary supplies. Having a family member or caregiver present during visits, especially early ones, is encouraged.
